Clintondale Community Schools issued the following announcement on Oct 7.
Congratulations to McGlinnen Elementary School alumnus Tyler Spezia who is beginning his fourth season with the Detroit Red Wings' organization. Spezia, who will start the regular season with Detroit's AHL affiliate in Grand Rapids, has played in two preseason games (both home wins over Buffalo and Columbus). His mom, Kelly Akers Spezia, graduated from Clintondale High School in 1981.
