Rep. Josh Schriver, a legislator from Michigan, recently used his social media platform to share positions on legislative votes, national investigations, and recommendations for national honors.

On August 21, 2025, Schriver commented on the failure of a legislative measure in Michigan. He wrote: "HJR-M says if lawmakers allow a government shutdown, they won’t get paid. 1) I voted YES on HJR-M. 2) ALL Republicans (57) voted YES on HJR-M. 3) HJR-M needed (74) votes to PASS. 4) HJR-M FAILED because 30 Democrats voted NO." The statement details his support for the resolution and attributes its failure to opposition from Democratic lawmakers.

The following day, August 22, Schriver addressed ongoing efforts related to the investigation of Jeffrey Epstein by expressing gratitude toward another lawmaker: "On behalf of our constituents across the Great State of Michigan, we thank @RepTomBarrett for his pursuit of truth and accountability regarding Jeffery Epstein. Who did Epstein blackmail? We encourage a relentless pursuit of transparency and justice to restore public trust."

Later that same day, Schriver announced an initiative aimed at honoring Patrick J. Buchanan: "I just sent a letter to President Trump urging him to award the Presidential Medal of Freedom to Patrick J. Buchanan. Proud to join @RileyMooreWV in recognizing a man who defended America’s sovereignty, culture, and people with courage for decades."
