On June 15, Schriver announced an upcoming addition to his family. "We’re expecting our first child on October 17. Naturally, as life begins in the womb, this is truly my first Father’s Day!" he tweeted. He also extended Father's Day wishes to God and mentioned his father's health challenges, stating, "My dad has moved from ICU to Rehab and is in rough shape. Please pray for him."
Later that day, Schriver addressed Pope Francis with a message of appreciation. "Happy Father’s Day @Pontifex We love you, Papa!" was his brief but heartfelt note to the pontiff.
