Catholic Vote announced the launch of a grassroots campaign in seven battleground states, including Michigan, that includes 4,500 volunteers activating Catholic voters at the parish level.

"As a volunteer for Catholic Vote, I feel proud to be part of a team of people that are encouraging citizens to vote that have never voted before," said Teresa Hutchinson, parishioner at St. Therese of Lisieux in Shelby Township. "This is an especially important election year, and every vote will make a difference."

"Every US citizen has a right to vote for our country’s values. We need to vote for our children, our grandchildren, and our great grandchildren," said Hutchinson.

Catholic Vote’s national field director, Joe Cantwell said that the organization has regional field directors in each state who are engaging with parishioners like Cardieri in the “largest Catholic grassroots mobilization campaign in history.”

"CatholicVote is working hard here at our HQ to get half a million postcards shipped out to the battleground states in the elections.” Cantwell told the Shelby Review. “These postcards will be delivered to the homes of Catholic and Conservative modeled voters, many of whom didn't vote in 2020. Through our efforts here we hope to see every Catholic make their voice heard in this crucial election."

The group has endorsed Donald Trump for President with CatholicVote’s president Brian Burch saying Trump is "someone who knows the truth and is willing to fight for it — not simply someone who will calculate the path of least resistance to accomplish some good on the margins."

The seven battleground states include Arizona, Nevada, Georgia, Wisconsin, Michigan, North Carolina, and Florida.
