PROPOSED ACQUISITION OF A PORTION OF THE PROPERTY ADJACENT TO ROTARY PARK

7:00 PM AS PART OF THE STERLING HEIGHTS CITY COUNCIL MEETING
MICHIGAN NATURAL RESOURCES TRUST FUND
GRANT APPLICATION
Notice is hereby given that the City of Sterling Heights Department of Parks and Recreation will hold a Public Meeting on Tuesday, March 21, 2023, at 7:00PM to take comments regarding the submittal of a grant application to acquire a portion of property adjacent to Rotary Park for future development of a public outdoor recreational facility. The property, approximately 3.5 acres in size, is located on the north side of Utica Road, with about 350 feet of frontage along Utica Road. The grant will be submitted to the Michigan Natural Resources Trust Fund (MNRTF) for an amount equal to the market value of the property, less 25% of that amount which must be provided by the City as matching funds. The meeting will be held at the Sterling Heights City Hall in the Council Chamber, located at 40555 Utica Road, Sterling Heights, Michigan 48313.
