CVHS Sophomore Student Council members were asked to make stockings for the Macomb Foster Closet. The Macomb Foster Closet is an all-volunteer nonprofit 501c3 organization providing much-needed clothing and other essential items free to children in foster care and the amazing families that care for them. In addition, they also provide additional services throughout the year such as school backpacks, birthday bags, Easter baskets, and holiday gifts. Teachers Tara Moran and Kelly Eovaldi assigned 15 different stocking age groups from newborn to 18 years old, hoping they could provide one stocking per age group for either a boy or girl. The students in Sophomore Student Council far exceeded their expectations and put together and donated 23 beautiful and thoughtful stockings and gift baskets with items that are needed, wanted, and age appropriate.
