On any given night in Macomb County, there are hundreds of unhoused individuals.
As the weather gets colder, contact your local shelter and ask if they are accepting donations. Some of the most needed items during winter are boots and coats in good condition, underwear and socks, long underwear, hygiene items, and cold weather gear. Some people keep kits or "blessings bags" in their car to hand out if they come across someone in need.
Every donation will help keep someone safer and more comfortable during the cold months ahead.
