Macomb County MSU Extension to host digital nutrition courses Macomb County Michigan State University Extension is set to host Healthy Foods, Healthy Families, a course for parents and caregivers who want to help their family become healthier through proper nutrition, exercise and food safety. Six weekly classes will cover topics such as:
- Macomb County MSU Extension to host digital nutrition courses
- Converting your favorite meals into more nutritious meals;
- How to read food labels and use them to help choose the right foods for you and your family;
- Using a budget to be able to buy a greater variety of foods;
- How to keep the foods you buy safe for you and your family; and
- Mealtime Miracles—feeding young children and picky eaters.
Classes are approximately one hour each and will be held online via Zoom/Facebook Room. Registration and class participation are free. Those who attend all six sessions will receive a certificate from MSU Extension at the completion of the course. Two sessions are available to choose from: Evening classes begin on August 2, 2022 at 7 p.m. and day classes will be held at 10 a.m. beginning August 4, 2022.
