City Clerk/Human Resource Assistant Position Available

City of Richmond issued the following announcement on April 7.

City of Richmond, Population 5,875, Salary range $50,000 - $64,000 DOQ/E plus excellent benefits.  Located in Macomb & St. Clair Counties.  The City is seeking applications for a City Clerk/Human Resource Assistant.  This is a full-time position that reports to the City Manager.  

Candidates should be highly organized with a knowledge of modern office practices, procedures, and computer systems, and should possess excellent verbal and written communications skills.  The City Clerk administers elections, oaths of office, and is the custodian of all City records and documents.  Compiles and distributes agenda materials, attends meetings, records and prepares official meeting minutes, and assures legal notices are published.   Assists the City Manager in the area of human resources.  An Associate’s degree in business administration or a related field preferred. A combination of education and experience may be considered. Five or more years of progressively more responsible experience as an administrative professional, deputy clerk, office manager, or related field is required. Good communication skills required.
