City of Sterling Heights issued the following announcement on Jan 14.

In recognition of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, City offices will be closed for business on Monday, Jan. 17.

The municipal offices include City Hall, DPW, Public Library, Parks & Recreation, Community Center, Senior Center, Nature Center, and the 41-A District Court.

Normal hours of operation will resume on Tuesday, January 18th.

The closure will NOT affect the City’s refuse schedule; trash will be collected on the normal collection day that week.
