Macomb Township, Michigan issued the following announcement on Sept. 14.
Effective immediately, no pickup basketball games will be allowed at the Rec Center, due to noncompliance of the wearing a mask rule. The Rec Center gymnasiums are for shoot around basketball only, restricted to Rec Center members. Although some do not like wearing a mask, it is the law and we must adhere to it. Our #1 goal is to keep our patrons safe. We believe it will be much easier for us to monitor the situation, with only allowing members in the gymnasiums.
Daily admissions will still be welcomed for the work out area and the pool. Please note that swimming is by reservation only, at this time.
