Macomb Township, Michigan issued the following announcement on Sept. 4.

Due to the Governor’s latest executive order, The Parks & Recreation Department is pleased to announce the re-opening of the Rec Center. We will be open to the public for use beginning on Wednesday, September 9, 2020 at 25% capacity. As per the order, some strict safety guidelines must be followed to allow entry into the facility. All patrons (members & daily admissions) must sign in and out. Masks must be worn throughout the building, unless the patron is in the swimming pool. Social distancing of six feet must be adhered to, at all times.

All workout equipment must be cleaned before and after each useage. The locker rooms will be closed indefinitely.

All memberships will be reinstated on September 15, 2020. Please check our website for updates, as they occur. Our staff is eager to welcome you back and will do our part to provide a safe, clean, family friendly facility for you and your family. We look forward to seeing you soon.
