Rep. Doug Wozniak (R-Shelby Township) recently spoke on another episode of "Senior Moments" and discussed the Medicaid/Medicare (MMAP) assistance program.
The MMAP program has been designed to help senior citizens and those with disabilities with free health-benefit counseling services. These counselors are not connected with insurance sales and their purpose is to confidentially and objectively serve their clients.
Wozniak stated in the Feb. 5 episode that these programs are located all throughout the state of Michigan with different affiliated programs. They are designed to help those to understand the health care options available as well as review different health care plans. Counselors will engage with clients and assist them with applying to health saving options and also assist in reporting different Medicaid/Medicare scams and fraud.
This program allows older adults and those with disabilities comfort in knowing that MMAP is working in their best interest. For more about the MMAP program, call 1-800-803-7174 or visit MMAPINC.org.
