Huron Academy issued the following announcement on Feb. 11.
Gloves and mittens are winter essentials. Your hands and feet are the furthest limbs from your heart and have the biggest likelihood of freezing in the winter.
This winter, members of Huron Academy Chapter of the National Junior Honor Society want to prove that even the smallest acts of love, like donating a new pair of gloves or mittens, can make a big difference in the lives of those less fortunate.
For all of January & February, NJHS members will be collecting new gloves or mittens for men, women, and children. Any size, color, or pattern are welcome. All gloves and mittens collected will be donated to a local Macomb County shelter to be shared with those in need.
Bins will be set up in the main lobbies of the Metro Campus and Utica Campus.
Thank you for your generosity!
