The Fraser Department of Public Safety is proud to announce the retirement of Sgt. Steven Paull.

Sgt. Paull has served the citizens of Fraser for just over 24 years.  During his career, Sgt. Paull earned 15 service awards, most notably the Department Medal of Valor for his selfless actions during the fatal arson fires of 2000.  Related to his Medal of Valor actions, in 2001, Sgt. Paull was named Police Officers Association of Michigan (POAM) Officer of the Year.

Sgt. Paull also served as an Evidence Technician, Emergency Medical Technician (EMT-B), Field Training Officer (FTO), and served stints in both Special Investigations Unit and Criminal Investigations Division.  After his promotion in 2014, Sgt. Paull served as a road patrol and Special Investigations Unit Supervisor.  Sgt. Paull is known by his fellow public safety employees for his love of candy bars, big smile, and always-positive attitude.

Sgt. Paull will be missed immensely by his public safety family, who wishes him the best of luck in his retirement!
