State Representative Josh Schriver has announced his support for two crucial infrastructure projects aimed at enhancing the quality of life for residents of Oakland Township. In a statement, Schriver highlighted the expected benefits of the initiatives on local transportation and the environment.

The first project involves the preservation and resurfacing of Stoney Creek Road and Snell Road between Orion Road and Rochester Road. This effort is designed to extend the roads' lifespan, improve safety for drivers, and reduce long-term maintenance costs.

The second project focuses on the replacement of an aging culvert under Orion Road over Paint Creek, east of Adams Road. Schriver emphasized the need for this upgrade to prevent flooding, ensure safety for commuters, and protect Paint Creek's ecosystem.

Schriver explained the significance of these projects, noting the importance of well-maintained infrastructure for public safety, local economic growth, and environmental conservation. "Protecting Public Safety: Well-maintained roads and bridges are fundamental to keeping our families, school buses, and emergency vehicles safe," he stated. "Supporting Our Economy: Reliable infrastructure is key for local businesses, job growth, and everyday travel. Preserving Our Environment: Investing in modern, environmentally sound infrastructure safeguards our unique natural resources for future generations."

He also expressed gratitude towards Oakland County elected officials for their support, reaffirming his commitment to advocating for infrastructure improvements. "Rest assured, I will continue to fight for infrastructure improvements that strengthen our infrastructure and move our community forward," he expressed.

Residents are encouraged to contact Schriver's office with any inquiries related to these projects or other state issues, aiming to work collectively for a stronger, safer, and more prosperous Oakland Township.
