Sterlingfest Art & Music Fair will return to Dodge Park in Sterling Heights from July 23 to 25, offering three days of live music, food, art, and family attractions. The festival is known as one of metro Detroit’s main summer events.

The event opens on Thursday with Pop Hits Live presenting 24K Magic Kingdom, a tribute act performing songs by Bruno Mars and Gwen Stefani. On Friday night, country singer Gretchen Wilson will headline at 8 p.m. Wilson is recognized for her song “Redneck Woman,” her recent win on The Masked Singer, and her role as tour manager on Taylor Sheridan’s CBS show The Road. Michigan-based Julianne Ankley will open the evening with Americana and Blue Country music.

Saturday night features rock band Great White, whose career spans over forty years with hits like “Save Your Love” and “Once Bitten, Twice Shy.” Slaughter will join them for the finale; the group is known for songs such as “Up All Night” and “Fly to the Angels.” All main stage concerts are free and start at 7 p.m.

Sterlingfest includes more than just music. Attendees can visit carnival rides along the Family Midway, browse local artists’ work throughout the park, sample food from trucks offering various cuisines, and enjoy community favorites around the grounds. Food options range from lemonade and kettle corn to full meals and desserts.

During the festival, Utica Road will be closed to vehicles to allow more space for visitors. Guests needing mobility assistance may use parking at Bethesda Christian Church at 14000 Metro Parkway with shuttle service available into Dodge Park. Courtesy carts will also operate within the festival area.

The entertainment schedule covers four stages: AT&T Main Stage hosts tribute acts and national headliners; Jazz & Blues Stage features local musicians; Suds ‘n’ Sounds presents acoustic sets and party bands; Genisys Credit Union Kids Tent offers animal shows, juggling acts, karaoke sessions, comedy performances, and nature activities.

Sterlingfest takes place in Sterling Heights—a city that promotes heritage awareness dating back to prehistoric times while providing cultural programs and community resources through its parks system (official website). The city maintains facilities including city hall and preserves landmarks such as Upton House built in the mid-1800s (official website). It operates under a council-manager government structure delivering services through departments like police, fire protection, public works, parks/recreation, and community development (official website).
