Rep. Josh Schriver, a member of the Michigan House of Representatives, recently posted several updates on his social media account, ranging from legislative reports to religious observances and electoral policy statements.

Later that same day, Rep. Schriver addressed election policies in Michigan. He stated: “For election integrity in Michigan, Rank Choice Voting must be denied and banned just as nearly 50% of states across America have already done.”

Ranked choice voting is an electoral system that allows voters to rank candidates by preference rather than selecting only one candidate. Nearly half of U.S. states have passed legislation prohibiting or restricting its use for state and federal elections in recent years.
