Rep. Josh Schriver, a member of the Michigan House of Representatives, shared several updates on his social media account in early March 2026.
On March 9, Schriver posted a brief message: “Take a walk!”
The following day, on March 10, he shared the results of what appears to be an online poll: “93% said YES
7% said NO https://t.co/m1ijoBVYzl“
Later that same day, Schriver described a delay while attempting to file for re-election alongside Rep. Smit at the State Bureau of Elections in Lansing. He wrote: “Rep. Smit and I are trying to file for re-election at the State Bureau of Elections in Lansing.
No one is in the building to accept our paperwork so we have been waiting here for 30 minutes. Yikes!
Someone should be here very soon…hopefully! https://t.co/HxiF4cHZkY“
Members of state legislatures are required to submit paperwork with their state’s bureau or department of elections as part of the process for seeking re-election.
