Rep. Josh Schriver, a member of the Michigan House of Representatives, posted a series of tweets referencing Christian Holy Week observances and religious art.
On March 30, 2026, Schriver shared an image and title of a 17th-century painting: “Christ Expelling the Money Changers from the Temple” by Guercino (1650). Two days later, on April 1, he marked two specific days in the Christian liturgical calendar with separate posts. At 2:03 AM UTC, he tweeted “Holy Tuesday https://t.co/roydF6WGBy”, followed by another post at 5:17 PM UTC stating “Happy Spy Wednesday https://t.co/MoV0N7j07H”.
Holy Week is an important period in Christianity commemorating events leading up to Easter Sunday. It includes Holy Tuesday and Spy Wednesday among its observances. Spy Wednesday refers to the day Judas Iscariot agreed to betray Jesus, while Holy Tuesday focuses on Jesus’ teachings in Jerusalem during his final week.
Rep. Schriver represents Michigan’s 66th District in the state legislature.
