Representative Josh Schriver has recently shared several updates on social media, addressing legislative efforts and local issues relevant to his Michigan constituents. His posts cover topics ranging from transportation policy and state budget negotiations to commentary on weather modification and taxation.

On July 14, 2025, Schriver announced a town hall meeting focused on road infrastructure. He stated, “I have a town hall today to discuss roads! We will discuss: (1) My bill 4597 to restore local control over local speed limits on LOCAL ROADS across Michigan. (2) My negotiations for local provisions in the annual State of Michigan budget to improve STATE ROADS in my district.”

On July 15, 2025, Schriver posted a brief message featuring an original work titled “RESTITUTION.” The post reads: “RESTITUTION” by Josh Schriver.

Later the same day, Schriver expressed concern about weather modification practices and their fiscal impact on Detroit residents. He wrote, “SICKENING. Weather modification companies create RAIN… …and Detroit residents get TAXED when it RAINS. ‘RAIN TAX’ Did you know about this? END WEATHER MODIFICATION. END THE RAIN TAX.”

Schriver represents a district in Michigan’s House of Representatives and has been vocal about returning more decision-making power to local governments, particularly regarding transportation policies such as speed limits. His comments about weather modification refer to ongoing debates over municipal stormwater fees—sometimes called “rain taxes”—levied in cities like Detroit to fund infrastructure maintenance related to rainfall runoff.
