The City of New Baltimore announced on Mar. 10 that it is seeking public input for a potential grant application to the Michigan Department of Natural Resource Trust Fund. The proposed project involves developing pickleball courts at Festival Park.

City officials are inviting residents to review the plans in person at the New Baltimore Parks & Recreation Administrative Offices, located at 52401 Ashley St., Door #3. The office is open Monday through Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Plans can also be accessed online at www.NBRecreation.org.

Public comments regarding the project can be submitted by email to Adam Abraham, Parks & Recreation Director, at abraham@cityofnewbaltimore.org or to Marcia Shinska, City Clerk, at mshinska@cityofnewbaltimore.org. Written comments may also be sent to Shinska at 36535 Green Street, New Baltimore, MI 48047. All comments must be received before 4:00 p.m. on March 18, 2026.

In addition to written feedback, residents have an opportunity to share their views during a Parks & Recreation Commission Special Meeting scheduled for March 19, 2026, at 7:30 p.m. The meeting will take place at City Hall, located at 36535 Green St., New Baltimore.

The city said it values community participation in shaping recreational facilities and encourages all interested parties to provide their input.
