MACOMB COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE: It’s time for the Macomb County Sheriff’s Office Christmas Gift Card Giveaway

Macomb County Sheriff’s Office issued the following announcement on Nov. 19.

Thank you to all of the citizens and Sheriff Personnel who participated in the Christmas card giveaway in years prior. Due to your generosity it was a great success! Our deputies were able to pass gift cards out to the needy and many other appreciative people. You may remember seeing some of this as we streamed live on Facebook.

Police Officers are often in a position where we can give out a gift card to needy individuals or families that may not have the resources to buy essentials during the holidays. Unfortunately, we often see people that are down on their luck and it can be especially tough during the holidays. Sometimes just a little help can make Christmas brighter when families are struggling financially. Our deputies on patrol are in a unique position to assist people they come in contact with in a positive way by giving out gift cards.

On a daily basis, acts of kindness are performed by the employees of the Macomb County Sheriff’s Office. Each year, the Sheriff and his staff generously donate to those in need, especially during the Holidays. This year, we are asking for your help.

We are collecting cash donations in order to purchase $25 gift cards from Walmart and Target. We would like to collect all donations by December 20th so we can purchase the gift cards. From December 20th through December 24th, deputies on patrol will hand out the gift cards to appreciative citizens in need, while on patrol.

We would love and appreciate for you to be a part of this great effort. Cash donations will be accepted at our front desk in our main office now through December 20, 2019. We are located at 43565 Elizabeth Rd, Mt. Clemens, Mi. 48043 and always open.

As the date approaches, we will of course keep you posted when the giveaway will be happening and stream it live on Facebook!

Thank You!
