In recent tweets, Representative Josh Schriver expressed his views on topics related to national sovereignty, drug policy, and immigration. Through his social media platform, Schriver shared his stance on preventing foreign influence in U.S. elections and addressing the fentanyl crisis, while also calling for strict immigration measures.

On May 1, 2025, Schriver tweeted a strong assertion regarding the U.S. electoral process, stating that it should be exclusive to Americans. He emphasized, “U.S. ELECTIONS ARE FOR AMERICANS ONLY. NO GLOBAL CITIZENS ALLOWED.” He continued by arguing that “citizenship-based discrimination is the only way to ensure foreign aliens don’t steal our American sovereignty (more than they already have).”

The following day, May 2, 2025, Schriver addressed the issue of drug policy in a tweet criticizing the judicial system’s handling of fentanyl dealers. He claimed, “DRUG AWARENESS/TREATMENT PROGRAMS WILL NOT STOP THE FENT SUICIDE PROBLEM IF LIBERAL JUDGES CONTINUE TO RE-RELEASE FENTANYL DEALERS BACK INTO OUR NEIGHBORHOODS AFTER THEY’RE ARRESTED.” Highlighting the severity of the opioid crisis in Michigan, he noted that “7 Michigan residents die every day by fentanyl overdose.”

Later on May 2, 2025, Schriver turned to immigration policy, advocating for strict deportation measures and criticizing sanctuary cities. He stated, “EVERY ILLEGAL ALIEN IS A CRIMINAL AND MUST BE DEPORTED IMMEDIATELY.” He urged counties and states to enroll in programs and enact laws that strengthen immigration controls, emphasizing, “FOR THE SAKE OF THE PEOPLE OF THE UNITED STATES.”
